Dmitrii Shmatov is a Milan-based creative, portrait, and advertising photographer hailing from Saint Petersburg, Russia.

About me

I’m professional photographer from Saint Petesburg, Russia. 

My way in photography started at 2016 than I bought my first camera at last year in university in Moscow.
From beginning I love to take a portraits and experimenting whith light.

After my graduation from university I moved to Saint Petersburg and become  an engineer at building company.
Half year later I leave my job for spending my life to photography.
Since 2017 I have been starting to shoot portraits for people and companies for their websites and social media. 

In the same time I tried myself in fashion photography for brands especially for man’s suits showrooms.
I bought equipment and made mobile studio.

At beginning of 2022 I created my team which include producers, retouchers, assistants and creative directors.
I delegated all routine processes and got time to make a lot of experimential photoshoot and express myself, my experience and my vision. 

In august 2022 I moved to Milan and tried myself as a street style photographer at Milano Fashion Week.

I want to evolving my style and do more non-ordinary pictures and look for people and brands who will trust in my vision.
